Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage![]() NCTM#601128-11
The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) is an independent, private, nonprofit organization that was founded in 1992 to establish a certification program and uphold a national standard of excellence. National Certification is the highest credential in the field. Today there are nearly 90,000 Nationally Certified Massage Therapists & Bodyworkers. As of this writing, there are 7 in Amarillo. In Texas, it is not a requirement, but a choice to become certified. With that choice certain standards of excellence must be followed, along with additional continuing education requirements, & a rigorous standardized test to ensure skill mastery & knowledge.
